1970-1979

In the 1970s Helmer-Petersen resumed working with cameraless photography and experimented with turning typographic letters or razorblades into a graphic black and white expression.  With his camera he also continued to explore the industrial areas of Northern Zealand and photographed heavy steel constructions and industrial material as sculptural worlds. In these years he also began following a more conceptual strategy in series as Trophies and Danish Beauty that he would work on continuously until the 1990s.
